	@	Command was given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the
LW	Saml. Horsey	Said Samuel Horsey Late of Somerset County Planter if he Should be found in his Bailywick

and him Should Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset
to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of June Next to Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and
Sixty to Answer unto Robert Carmichael and Company of A plea of trespass upon the Case &^c. And the Same day is
given to the af^d. Robert and Company here &^c.
           Att which day here Came the af^d. Robert and Company by William Hayward their Attorney and the
Sheriff to wit John Dennis Gen^t now here Returned that he had taken the af^d. Robert Samuel Horsey whose body
here at this day he had Ready to Answer the af^d. Robert and Company of the af^d. plea as to him it was Commanded
           Whereupon the Said Samuel Horsey at the Prayer of the af^d. Robert Carmichael and Company is Adjudged
to give Special Bail to the Action af^d. Thereupon a Certain Stephen Horsey of Somerset County planter present
here in Court in his proper person undertook for the Said Samuel that if it Should happen that Judgment in the plea af^d.
Should be Rendred for the Said Robert and Company against the af^d. Samuel or that he the Said Samuel Should be
therein Convict that then he the Said Samuel Should pay and Satisfie unto the af^d. Robert and Company the Judgment
of the Court thereupon or Render his body in Execution of Such Judgment to the Prison of the Sheriff of the County
af^d. in Satisfaction thereof or that he the Said Stephen Horsey will do the Same for him &^c
           Whereupon the Said Samuel Horsey puts in his place Levin Wilson Gen^t Attorney at Law Against
the af^d. Robert and Company of the af^d. plea
      And thereupon at the prayer of the parties af^d. day is to them now here Given untill next Court to be held at
Princes Ann Town in and for the County af^d. the third Tuesday of August then next following in the State that now
Saveing to the Parties af^d. &^c.
                                         Att which day here Came the Parties af^d. by their Attorneys af^d. And hereupon the Said
Robert and Company Complained of the af^d. Samuel Horsey in the plea af^d. in form following
Somerset fs^t Samuel Horsey Late of Somerset County Planter was Attached to Answer unto Robert Carmichael and
Company of A plea of trespass upon the Case &^c.
           And Whereupon the Said Robert and Company by William Hayward their Attorney Complain that
whereas the Said Samuel on the xiii day of September Anno MDCCLViii at Somerset County af^d. was Indebted
unto the Said Robert and Company in the Sum of Six pound and Nine pence Cur^t. Money of Maryland for the Sundry
Articles and things in the Account hereto Annexed mentioned and So thereof Indebted being the Said Samuel in
Consideration thereof afterwards to wit the Same day and Year af^d. at the County af^d. upon himself Assumed and to the Said
Robert then and there faithfully Promised that he the Said Samuel the Sum of Money af^d. when he Should be thereto
Afterwards Required unto the Said Robert and Company would well and faithfully pay and Content Nevertheless
the Said Samuel his Promise and Assumption af^d. in form af^d. made Little Regarding but minding and fraudulently
Intending the Said Robert and Company in that part Craftily and Subtilly to Deceive and defraud the Sum of Money
af^d. unto the Said Robert and Company hath not paid or them for the Same in Any Sort Contented (Altho the Same to do
the Same Samuel afterwards to wit the Same day and Year af^d. and often Since at the County af^d. by the Said
Robert and Company was Required) but the Same to them to Pay hitherto altogether hath Refused and Still
doth Refuse and unjustly detain Whereupon the Said Robert and Company Say they are Worse and have damages
to the Value of Fifty Pounds Cur^t Money of Maryland and thereof they bring Suit &^c.       Pledges &^c. J. Doe & R. Roe
