Called Stephen Bloyd of Somerset County if they Should be found in ^ Bailywick & them
Should Safe keep so that he might have their Bodys before the Justices of his Lordships County Court
of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town y^e. third Tuesday of June Anno Dom. one thous^d.
seven hundred & Sixty to Answer unto Mitchell Bannister of a plea that they Render unto
him the sum of fifteen pounds Current money of Virginia of y^e. Value of Twenty Pounds Current
Money of Maryland which from him they unjustly Detains and so forth
And the Same day is given to the Mitchell Bannister here &^c.
Att which day here Came the af^d. Mitchell Bannister by Samuel Wilson his Att^y.
And the Sherriffe to wit, John Dennis Gentleman now here Returned that he had taken
the af^d. Samuel Horsey whose Body here at this day he had Ready to answer y^e.
aforesaid Mitchell Bannister of y^e. af^d. Plea as to him it was COmmanded & further
same sherriffe returned that the af^d. Stephen Bloyd Could not be found in his Baily:

Whereupon the said Samuel Horsey at y^e. Prayer of y^e. aforesaid Mitchell
Bannister is Adjudged to give Special Bail to y^e. Action aforesaid Thereupon A Certain
Stephen Horsey of Somerset County Planter Present here in Court in his Proper
Person undertook for y^e. said Samuel Horsey that if it should happen that Judgment
in y^e plea aforesaid Should be Rendered for y^e said Mitchell Bannister Against the af^d.
Samuel Horsey or that he the said Samuel Horsey Should be therein Convict that then
he the said Samuel Should pay & Satisfie unto y^e. aforesaid Mitchell the Judgment
of y^e. Court thereupon or Render his Body in Execution of Such Judgment to the
Prison of Y. sherriffe of y^e. County af^d. in Satisfaction thereof or that he the said
Stephen Horsey will do y^e. same for him &^c.
Whereupon the said Samuel Horsey puts in his place Levin Wilson Gentleman Attorney at Law
against the aforesaid Mitchell Bannister in the aforesaid plea
And thereupon at y^e Prayer of y^e. Parties aforesaid day is to them here now given untill next
Court to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of August then next following in y^e.
State that now Saving to y^e. Parties aforesaid
