Somerset fst Att A Court of his Lordhsip ye. Right Honrble Frederick Absolute Lord &
Propry of ye. Provinces of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &c to be held at
Princes Ann Town ye. Third Tuesday of August being ye. Ninteenth day of ye. Same
Month Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty by his Said Lordships
Justices ye. Peace in ye. Same County to keep Assigned of whom were Present

   Isaac Handy    Ephraim Wilson    Gentleman
The Worshipfull    Sampson Wheatly    Ephraim King      His Lordships

   Henry Waggaman    Thomas Jones           Justices
J Dennis sherriffe    Joseph Gilliss
Thomas Hayward Junr Clk
Whereupon ye. Court being Called Set as above Proceeded to Business in manner follg Vizt

Somerset fst    To ye. Worshipfull ye. Justices of Somerset County in Court Judicially Sitting
The Petition of Arnold Elzey Senr. sheweth that part of ye. County road that Leads
from ye. Head of Goos Creek to Phebus Creek goes through your Petitioners Land greatly
to his Prejudice Your Petitioner Prays Your Worships that, that part of ye. road from
ye. upper head of Goose Creek untill it Intersects the County Road Near where A
Certain Sarah Staples Lives be no Longer A County Road for as much as the
Road that goes to mony Church which Intersects Another County Road by Mr. George
Irvings will Answer the Inhabitants Equally as well for ye. Church or Town as
ye. Road Your Petitioner now prays may be Stoped up and Your Petitioner Shall
pray &c.                                                     Arnold Elzey senior
Whereupon Came here into Court the afd. Petitioner in his Proper person and thereupon
the Petition afd. being Read & heard and fully understood it is Considered by ye. Court
                                                                              Stop
here that the afd. Arnold Elzey Senior be Permitted to ^ Drop ^ ye. said road as by ye.
Petition afd. is Praid &c

John Tayler    John Tayler An Orphan of his own free Consent is Bound out by ye.
Bound to    Court here An Apprentice According to Act of Assembly in Such Case
Elijah Pilshard    Provided unto Elijah Pilshard of Somerset County House Carpenter
Untill he the said John Taylor should Arrive at ye. Age of twenty one Years the said
John Taylor to serve his said Master the full term afd. during which term the said
Apprentice his said Master well and faithfully shall serve his Secrets keep his
Commandments Lawfully & honestly every Where willingly he shall Doe & in all

things
