Appear before me or Some other of his Lordships Justices of ye. peace for ye. County afd. to
Answer the Charge afd. and this Shall be Your Warrant given under my hand
And Seal this 1st. day of March 1760                        Ephraim King
To ye. Constable of Nanticoke Hundred to Execute and return
Whereupon ye. aforesaid Geo: Brown Constable of ye. Hundred afd. afterwards to wit
ye. first day of April in ye. Year afd. at ye. County afd. returned to me that he had
taken ye. Body of ye. afd. Charity Jones and her there ready to Answer ye. Charge afd.
against her made
                 Thereupon ye. said Charity Jones being by my Asked whether
She of ye. Charge afd. was guilty Said that She Could not deny but that she was
thereof guilty and made Oath that a Certain Robert Persons was ye. father of
her Basterd Child
                 Thereupon ye. said Charity Jones for her offence afd. was by
me fined ye. Sum of thirty Shillings Current money of Maryland which she said she
Could not pay Down but was willing to give Security agreeable to Act of Assembly
in Such Cases made and provided    Thereupon ye. afd. Charity Jones together with
A Certain Ezekiell Jones her Security did acknowledge themselves and Each of
them to owe and be indebted unto his Lordship ye. right Honrble the Lord Propry
in ye. Sum of three pounds Current money as afd. of their and Each of their Bodies
goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to and for ye. use of ye. said Lord
Propry to be made and Levied in Case ye. said Charity Jones do not pay and
Satisfie unto his said Lordships Justices of ye. peace for ye. County afd. the sum of
thirty shillings Current money as afd. on or before the first day of Aprill next
Ensuing ye. Date hereof
      Taken & acknowledged ye. first day of Aprill in ye. year afd.       Ephm. King
                                                                                 before

Somerset County fst    Whereas Margaret Dunken is this Day charged before me ye Subscriber
{Seal}    One of his Lordships Justices of ye. peace for Somerset County having had a Bastard
             Child Lately Born of her Body
             These are therefore in his Lordships name to Command you to take ye. Body of ye. aforesaid
Margaret Dunken and Cause her to appear before me or some other of his Lordships Justices
of ye. peace for ye. County afd. to answer ye. Charge aforesaid and this Shall be your warrant
given under my hand & Seal this first day of Decr. 1759                   Ephraim King
To ye. Cunstable of Nanticoke Hundred to Execute & make return
Whereupon ye. afd. Geo Brown Constable of ye. hundred aforesaid afterwards to wit ye first
day of April in ye. Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty that he had
taken ye. Body of ye. aforesaid Margaret Dunkin and had her there ready to answer ye.
Charge aforesaid against her made, Thereupon ye. said Margaret Dunken being by me
asked whether she of ye. Charge aforesaid was guilty said that she was thereof guilty and
made oath that a certain Josiah Phillips was ye. father of her Bastard Child
Thereupon ye. said Margaret Dunkin for her offence afd. was by me fined thirty
Shillings Current money which she said she could not pay down but was willing to give
Security agreeable to Act of Assembly in Such Case made & provided Thereupon ye.
aforesaid Margaret Dunkin together with a Certain Joseph Holder her security
