June Court 1760 26 The Deposition of Benjamin Jones Aged 33 Years and upwards & Saith About 20 Years ago he went to School Down the neck against Mr. John Leatherburys and Boarded at James Joneses and Commonly went home to his Brother Robert Joneses of Saturdays and back again of Mundays and at times Crost ye. Creek from William Jonses Landing John Jones of ye. afd. James Jones went a Cross ye. Creek with him at times and went a Shore at a Landing then Called ye. Broad Landing and going by a marked Hickory ye. Said John Jones told him that was ye. Begining of the Division Between his Brother James Jones and Daniel Jones the said Tree stooped to the Eastward And Some time before or after he was Walking with the aforesaid James Jones through his field & going over ye. Division under Fence by a haw tree that the Division Line run ^ that tree and that Daniel held Some of his Land next ye. Creek and he held some of Daniels by ye. woods And further Saith not Benjamin Jones Janry 4th 1755 ye. Deposition of Thomas Jones aged 42 Years or there abt. being sworn Saith that James Jones Deceased and this Deponant was on ye. South Side of a Glade of Marsh that makes from Great monny Creek above a Landing now Called ye. broad Landing & ye. said James Shewed this Deponant a Hickory Standing on ye. North Side of ye. said Glade of Marsh near ye. Edge of ye. bank & ye. said James said it was a Divisional Tree Between him & Daniell Jones, and ye. said James told him that the Division Line between him & Daniel Jones run near a Haw Bush Standing in ye. field of Daniel Jones & further Saith not Thomas Jones The Deposition of Robert Jones Aged 53 Years or there abouts &c. Saith that some time in James Jones's Lifetime he Shewed this Deponant a marked Hickory Standing near a Landing now Called ye. Broad Landing & ye. said James said it was a Bounder of ye. Division between him & Daniel Jones & that the Course from thence whether I run it not I Cannot Say but if not he said ye. Course went under a haw Tre and there was then a Division Fence between them which had Stood many Years in that place & ye. said James told this Deponant that next the Creek Daniel Jones had part of his Land within ye. aforesaid fence and next the Woods he held part of Daniels within ye. fence Aforesaid & further Saith not
