His Lordship
vs    Somerset to wit the Jurors for his Lordship the right Honrble the
John Carmichael    Lord propry that now is for the body of Somerset County upon their
oath present that John Carmichael Late of Stepney parish in the county afsd: planter
on the second day of April Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred sixty and ^ with force and
Arms at the parish afsd: in the county afsd. within the Jurisdiction of this court in &
upon a certain William Russell in the peace of God and the said Lord propry then &
there being an assault did make and him the said William Russell then and
there did beat wound and Ill Treat so that of his Life it was much dispaired and
other harms to him the said William Russell then and there did to the great
damage of the said William Russell and against the peace of his Lordship the
Right Honrble the Lord propry that now is his good rule and Government &c
On the back of the Foregoing bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed Vizt
Wm Russell Jur. James Russell Jur. Wm. Olphey Jur. Thos. Russell Jur.    Ignoramus

The Same

David Layfeild    that now is for the body of Somerset County upon their oath present
that David Layfeild Late of Stepney parish in the county afsd: planter on the
XXX day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred sixty &
three with force and arms at the parish afsd: in the county afsd. one pair red plush
Breeches of the Value of fifty pounds of Tobacco of the goods and chattles of
a certain Nathaniel Thrift then and there being found then and there
feloniously did steal take & carry away contrary to the peace of the said Lord
propry that now is his good rule and government and against the form of
the act of assembly in such case made & provided & so forth
On the back of the foregoing bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed Vizt
Jos. Scroggin    Natl Thrift Jurat.                           Ignoramus

John Mitchell
vs    Somt fst you Susanah Hardnite Joseph Ellis and Josiah Records do
Susanah Hardnite    confess Judgment to John Mitchel for Eleven Shils and ten
pence Debt and two shils. and six pence cost of warrt. wh. sum was recover'd by
said Mitchel this present day against said Hardnite before me the subscriber
the said sum of Eleven shils. and tenn pence and 2/6 cost of Warrent to be
Levied Of your bodies goods or chattles Lands or Tennements for the use of said
Mitchel in case the said Susanah Hardnite shal not pay and satisfi the said
Mitchel as aforesaid Recover'd against her with aditionale cost thereon on
the tenth day of Febry Next Confes'd this 4th. day of June 1763 before Wm Winder

Wm Caldwell    Somt. fst. May 10. 1763. You Robt. Parsons and Joseph Confess Judgment to
vs    Wm Caldwel for three shills. and nine pence Debt and two shills. and six
Robt. Parsons    pence Cost of Warrant to be Levid on your bodys good and chattels Land and
