deceive and defraud the several Sums of Money or any part thereof to him the said Levin
hath not Contented or paid altho so to do the said Benjamin afterwards to wit the day & year
last afsd at the County afsd: was by the said Levin requested but the same or any part
thereof to the said Levin to content or pay he the said Benjamin to pay the same to the
said Levin altogether hath refused and still doth refuse to the damage of the said Levin
one hundred pounds Current Money of Maryland and therefore he brings Suit    J Doe    pledges

Whereupon the said Benjamin Burridge by his Attorney afsd: Comes & defends the force
Injury when &c. and prays leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court to be held at
princess Ann Town the third tuesday of June then next following & he hath it and the
same day is given to the afsd Levin Ballard here also & So Forth
Att which day here came as well the afsd Levin Ballard as the afsd. Benjamin Burridge
by their Attorneys afsd and hereupon the afsd. Benjamin Burridge as before defends the
force & Injury when &c. and says that he cannot deny the action afsd: of the afsd: Levin Bal-
-lard nor but that he did assume upon himself in manner and form as the afsd Levin
Ballard above against him hath Complained and as to the damage of the same Levin
by him by occasion of the premises in that part sustained the same Benjamin Bur-
-ridge Saith and acknowledgeth that the afsd: Levin hath sustained damages by
occasion of the premises beyond his costs & charges by him about is suit in that part
Apposed to fifty three pounds four shillings & six pence halfpenny Currt: Money & not More &
because the afsd: Levin denies not this but the same Allegation grants to be true prays
Judgement for these damages above acknowledged together with his costs & charges afsd:
to him to be adjudged &c.       Therefore by Consent of the parties afsd: it is considered that
the afsd Levin Ballard recover against the afsd Benjamin Burridge his damages afsd to
the afsd fifty three pounds four shillings & six pence halfpenny Curr: Money by the afsd: Benja-
351 -min in form afsd: acknowledged as also
pounds of Tobacco for his costs & charges afsd: To the same Levin at his request by the Court now
here of the assent of the parties afsd: adjudged which certain Damages in the whole amount to fifty
three pounds four shillings & six pence halfpenny Curr: Money &
                          pounds of Tobacco & the afsd. Benjamin in Mercy &c
                            Stay till March Cot

   William Hamilton &NBSP;&NBSP; you that you attach any the goods & Chattles and credits of George Buchanan
Late of Somerset County Merchant and William Hamilton Late of Somerset County Mercht: if they
shall be found in your bailywick to ye Value of thirteen pounds Sterling and Eight Hundred pounds
of Tobacco & when you have ye. Same Attached or any part thereof ye Same in your Custody safe keep so
that you have ye Same before our Justices of our county Court of Somerset to be held at princess Ann
Town ye third tuesday of November Next then & there to be condemned according to act of assembly
