   1 Horse Whip    0..4..6    0..8..0    Moses Speere is Just and true as
             26    To 1 Quart Rum    0..1..2    it stands stated and that he hath

   34 1/4 gallons Mollasses @ 3/2    5..8..6    not directly or Indirectly receiv'd

   Barrel    0..4..0    any part or parcell Securety or

   1 pr Garters    0..0..9    5..14..5    satisfaction for the same to the

Whereupon at the prayer of the afsd. Jonathan Vaughan
& company the afsd. Moses Speere is adjudged to give special Bail to the action afsd
Thereupon a certain James Quatermus of Somerset County planter present here in court
in his proper person undertook for the said Moses Speere and assumed upon himself that
if it should happen that Judgement in the plea afsd. should be rendred for the said Jona
-than Vaughan & compy: against the afsd Moses Speere or that the said Moses should be there
-in convict that then he the said Moses should pay and satisfy unto the afsd: Jonathan & compy:
the Judgement of the court thereupon or render his body in Execution of Such Judgment
                                                                       in satisfaction thereof
To the prison of the sheriffe of the county afsd: ^ or that he the said James Quatermus will do the same for him &c
And hereupon the said Moses Speere by William Allen his Attorney comes & defends the force and
injury when &c and says that he cannot deny the action afsd: of the afsd: Jonathan Vaughan &
company nor but that he did assume upon himself in manner & form as the afsd Jonathan &
compy: above against him have complained and as to the damage of the said Jonathn & compy
by them by occasion of the premises in that part Sustained the same Moses Speere saith and
acknowledgeth that the afsd Jonathan & compy: have sustained damages by occasion of the premises
beyond their costs and charges by them about their Suit in that part Apposed to thirteen pounds
and three pence Curt: Money and not more and because the afsd Jonathan Vaughan & compy: deny
not this but the same Allegation grant to be true pray Judgement for these damages above
acknowledged together with their costs and charges afsd: to them to be adjudged &c
Therefore by consent of the parties afsd. it is considered that the afsd: Jonathan Vaughan & compy.
recover against the afsd: Moses Speere their damages afsd to the afsd: thirteen pounds & three
pence Curt: Money by the afsd: Moses in form afsd: acknowledged as also
                                    pounds of Tobacco for their Costs and charges afsd: to the same Jonathan
& compy: at their request by the court now here of the assent of the parties afsd: adjudged which
certain damages in the whole amount to thirteen pounds & three pence Curt: Money and

@    Command was given to the sherriffe of Somerset county that he
SW    Thomas Toadvine    should take Thomas Toadvine Late of Somerset County planter
otherwise called me Thomas Toadvine if he should be found in his bailywick & him should
safe keep So that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships county court of
Somerset to be held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of June Anno Dom. one thousand
seven hundred and sixty three to answer unto George Dasheill Junr. of a plea that he render
unto him the sum of three pounds and three shillings Current money of Maryland which to
him he owes and unjustly detains and so forth and the same day is given to the afsd: George here &c
