of Orphan Jurors to Inquire &c. to witt James Polk, Alexander Roberson, Isaac Dashiell
James Acworth, Thomas Hearn, Purnall Newbold, Aaron Sterling, Cornelius English, Samuel
Jackson Baily, Wilson Hath, Thomas Relph, Jesse Lister, John Riggen, Wm. Roach, John Williams
Handy Beauchamp, Jarvis Ballard William Miles, John McGraw, and William Jones
who being Severally Called Over by their Names do Appear as above and were Sworn and Charged
And Sent out to Consider Soon after the Orphan Jurors afd. So as afd. Impannelled Charged and
Sworn Returned here into Court and being Again Severally Called Over Returned to the Court
here the were discharged &c.

   Ordered that Ephraim Wilson high Sheriff of Somerset County Immediately Return
A pannell of Grand Jurors to Inquire for his Lordship and the body of the County of Somerset &c.
Thereupon the afd. Sheriff Returned a Pannell of Grand Jurors to Inquire &c. to witt James
Polk, Alexander Roberson, Isaac Dashiell, James Ackworth, Thomas Hearn, Purnall
Newbold, Aaron Sterling, Cornelius English, Samuel Jackson Baily, Wilson Heath, Thomas
Relph, Jesse Lister, John Riggen, William Roach, John Williams, Handy Beauchamp, Jarvis
Ballard, William Miles, John McGraw, William Jones, James Jones and Charles Cottingham
who being Severally Called Over by their Names do Appear as above and were Sworn and Charged
And Sent out to Consider Soon after the Grand Jurors afd. So as afd. Impannelled Charged and Sworn
Returned here into Court and being Again Severally Called Over Returned to the Court here the
following Indictments and Presentments Against Early Right Elinor Mitchell, Hamilton Bell and Steven
Stevens Indictments against Edward Bennet, John Anderson, Wm. Russell, David Layfield, Saml Smily, John Carmichael
Rencher Roberts, Wm. Hart, Thomas Allen and Negro Liverpool    Thereupon the Grand Jurors afd. are discharged
and Allowed four hundred Pounds of Tobacco to be Levied Next Levey Court And that Against the
afd. Early Right Elinor Mitchell, Steven Stevens, Wm. Russell, Saml Smily, Rencher Roberts and Thomas
Allen So as afd. Presented and Indicted it is ordered that Capias Issue Returnable to August Court
Next &c

John Caldwell Jur.    John Caldwell an Orphan of his Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here an
   Bound to    Apprentice According to Act of Assembly in Such Case provided unto John Caldwell Senr. of
John Caldwell Ser.    Somerset County Gentleman untill he the Said John Caldwell Jur. Should Arrive at the Age
of Twenty One Years the Said John Caldwell Jur. to Serve his Said Master the full term afd. during which
term the Said Apprentice his Said Master well and faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments
Lawfully and honestly Every where willingly he Shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice
he Shall demean himself towards his Said Master and all his during the term afd.
                In Consideration of which Service the Said John Caldwell Ser. present here in
Court in his Proper Person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting
in Manner and form following that is to Say that he the Said John Caldwell Senr. Shall and will during
the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice to Read Write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and
Navigation so far as through Marcato Sailing and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a Quadrant
Scale Dividers Mariners Compass Rectified and Callender and a New Suit of Cloaths of Broad Cloath
Over and Above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise find and provide for his Said Apprentice meat
drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the

term
