Therefore it is considered that the afd James Hust Recover against the afd John Henry his damages afd To the afd
twenty two shillings & Six pence Curt Money by the afd John in Form afd acknowledged as also
995                                                                               pounds of Tobacco for his costs & charges To the same
James at his request by the court now here of the assent of the parties afd adjudged which certain damages in
the whole amount To twenty two shillings & Six pence Curt Money and
                                                   pounds of Tobacco and the afd John in Mercy &c

WH    Teague Regan    Command was given unto the sheriff of Somerset County that he should Take John

LD    John Harris    Harris ^ of Somerset County planter if he should be found in his Bailywick & him should
Safe keep So that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County court of Somerset
To be held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of November Anno Dom. one thousand seven hundred
& Sixty To answer unto Teague Riggen of Parrahawkin of a plea wherefore with force and Arms he ye said
John at the county afd the close of the said Teague called Middle plantation did break & Enter and two
Hundred panels of Fence thereon Erected of the Value of twenty pounds current Money of Maryland then
& there did break down & the Fence Loggs thereon did take & Carry away & the Soil and Grass of the close
afd did break up & [tread] down & other Harms To him the said Teague then & there did to the great damage of the
said Teague & against the peace of his Lordship the Lord propry that now is &c and the same day is
given to the afd Teague Riggen here also &c
Att which Day here came the afd Teague Riggen by Wm. Hayward his Attorney & the sheriff to witt
John Dennis now here returned that he had Taken the afd John Harris whose body here at this day he
had ready to answer the afd Teague Riggen of the afd plea as to him it was commanded &c
Whereupon the said John Harris puts in his place Littleton Dennis Gent Attorney at Law against the afd Teague
Riggen of the afd plea            Whereupon at the prayer of the parties day is to them now here given

untill next Court To be held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of March ^ Next following in the State that
now saveing to the parties afd              Att which day here came as well the afd Teague Riggen
as the afd John Harris by their Attorneys afd and hereupon the afd Teague Riggen complained against
the afd John Harris in the plea afd in Form following                                                      of Parrahawkin
Somerset fst John Harris Late of Somerset planter was attached to answer unto Teague Riggen ^ of a plea of
wherefore with force and arms he the said John at the county afd the close of the said Teague called middle
plantation did break & Enter and two hundred Pannell of Fence thereon Erected of the Value of Twenty
pounds Current Money of Maryland then & there did break down and the Fence Loggs thereon did take
and Carrry away & the Soil & Grass of the close afd did break up and tread Down and other Harms to the
said Teague then & there did To the Great Damage of the said Teague and against the peace of his Lord-
-ship the Lord propry that now is and So Forth
And Whereupon the said Teague by William Hayward his Attorney Says that whereas the said John
the         Day of         Anno Dom:            at the county afd the close of him the said Teague called
Middle plantation with force and Arms did break and Enter and Two hundred pannell of Fence thereon
Erected of the Value of twenty pounds Currt Money of Maryland then & there did break down and the Fence
Logs thereon did take & Carry away and the Soil & Grass of the Close afd did break up & tread down &
other Harms To the said Teague then & there did To the great Damage of the said Teage and against the
peace of his Lordship the Lord propry that now Is &c Whereupon the said Teague Says he is worse & hath
damage to the value of twenty pounds Curt Money of Maryland & thereof he brings Suit &c    pledges &c    J Doe

And the afd John Harris by his Attorney afd Comes and Defends the force and injury when &c and prays leave
