Somerset fst. Att A Court of his Lordships the Right Honrble Frederick Absolute
Lord and propry of the provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of
Baltimore &c held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March being
the Eighteenth day of the Same Month Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred
and Sixty by his Said Lordships Justices the peace in the Same County to
keep Assigned of whom were present . . . . . .

Whereupon the Court being Called Set as Above proceeded to Business in manner follg Vizt

Walter Taylor    Somerset fst Frederick Absolute Lord and Propry of the provinces
Commission &    of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &c. to Louther
Affidavits    Dashiell, Thomas Dashiell, William Hayward and Tho. Jones

   Of Somerset County Gentlemen know ye that we have appointed you
Or any Three or two of You to be Our Commissioners to Examine Evidence on
Behalf of a Certain Walter Taylor of the County afd. In Relation to the Bounds of
a Tract of Land Called Chadwicks Adventure or of Any other Land on which they may
Depend we therefore Require you or any three or two of you at Some time & Place as to you
or Any Three or two of You it Shall Seem Convenient you meet on the afd. Land Called
Chadwicks Adventure Or if Any other Lands on which they may Depend You first
Having taken your Oaths on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God and their
Cause to Come before you or any three or two of you all Such Evidences as shall be
To you or any three or two of you nominated by the Said Complainant or Deft.
And that you or any three or two of You Examine them upon their Corporal Oath
to be by you or any three or two of you Administred on the Holy Evangles of Almighty
God in the presence of the Complainant or Deft. if Any Touching the truth or Remembran:
:ce of their Knowledge or any thing that may Relate to the Cause afd. and that reduc:
-ing the severall Depositions Into Writing you send the same with this our
Commission to us to our County Court of Somerset with all Convenient speed
Witness Thomas Hayward Esqr. Chief Justice of Our said Court the Twenty
third day of November in the seventh Year of Our Dominion &c Anno Dom.
One thousand seven hundred & fifty seven
Att A Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March
Anno Dom. one thousand seven hundred & sixty before the Justices thereof came Louther
Dashiell and Wm. Hayward two of the Gentlemen nominated in the within Commission
And Returned the same Indorsed in manner following
Decr. 7th 1757 Then Louther Dashiell and William Hayward two of the within
Commissioners made oath before me the subscriber that they would well and
faithfully Execute the within Commission    before    Joseph Gilliss
Joseph Standford aged Sixty three years or there Abouts being Sworn on the
Holy Evangels of Almight God Deposeth and Saith that on the Same day
that the Tract of Land Called Cha[dwicks] Adventure was originally Surveyed
