In Consideration of Which Service the Said Andrew Francis Cheney present here in Court in his proper
person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in manner and
form following that is to Say that he the Said Andrew Francis Cheney Shall and will during the
term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice to Read Write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive
and Navigation So far as through Marcato Sailing and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him
a Quadrant Scale and dividers, Marriners Compas Rectified Callander and Epetomy and a New Suit of
Cloaths Over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise find and provide for his Said Apprentice
Meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the
term afd.    Whereupon the Said Andrew Francis Cheney is Ordered to Give Security to Comply with the
Covenants afd.    Thereupon the Said Andrew Francis Cheney together with Thomas Hayward Jr and William
Hayward of Somerset County Gent his Securitys all present here in Court in their proper persons
Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd. John Day Scott in thirty pounds Current Money of
Maryland on their bodys Goods and Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the
Said John Day Scott his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said Andrew
Francis Cheney do not during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice to Read Write and Cypher as far
as the Rule of three Inclusive and Navigation So far as through Marcato Sailing and at the
Expiration of his Servitude do not Give him a Quadrant Scale and dividers Marriners Compas Rectified
Callander, and Epitomy and a New Suit of Cloaths Over and Above his Common wearing Cloaths and do
not Likewise find and provide for his Said Apprentice Meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing

   Appointed    Alexander Records of Somerset County Planter present here in Court in his proper
Guardian to    person and of his Own free Consent is Appointed by the Court here as Guardian to
Risden Hitch    a Certain Risden Hitch an Orphan under the Age of fourteen Years untill he the Said
Risden Should at full Age by Law for the Chosing of his Guardian &c. Whereupon the Said Alexander
Records Guardian afd. is Ordered to take into his Care and possession the afd. Orphan and all his Estate
Real and Personall And it is further Ordered that a Certain Eliza. Hitch deliver up unto the afd.
Guardian all the Estate Real and personall that She hath in her hands and possession and that of Right
doth belong unto the afd. Orphan and that the afd. Guardian Give Good Security to Comply with the Law
in Relation to Such Guardianship afd. &c.    Thereupon the Said Alexander Records with Thomas Moor and
James English of Somerset County Planters his Serys all present here in Court in their proper persons
Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd. Risden Hitch Orphan afd. in Two hundred pounds Curt Money
of Maryland of their bodys Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the
Said Risden Hitch his heirs Exrs. Admrs. or Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said
Alexr. Records Guardian as afd. his heirs Exrs. or Admrs. do not Comply with the Law in Relation to Such
Guardianship as afd. and do not deliver up unto the afd. Orphan his heirs Exrs. or Admrs. or Assigns or Guardian
or Guardians hereafter to be Appointed or Chosen all the Estate Reall and Personall of the afd. Orphan that
that he Shall take into his hands and possession peaceably and Quietly whenever the Same Should be Legally Required &c.

Absalom Stinson    Absalom Stinson an Orphan of his Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here an
      Bound to    Apprentice According to Act of Assembly in Such Case provided unto Robert Chambers of
Robert Chambers    Somerset County Cordwainer untill he the Said Absalom Should Arrive at the Age of Twenty One
Years the Said Absalom to Serve his Said Master the full term afd. during which term the Said Apprentice
his Said Master well and faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and
honestly Every where willingly he Shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice he Shall
