proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in Manner and form
following that is to Say that he the Said Beauchamp Hull Shall and will during the term afd. Learn his Said
Apprentice the trade of a Ship Carpinter and to Read write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and
at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him a New Suit of Cloaths of Broad Cloath Over and Above his
Common wearing Cloaths and a Broad Ax and Adz and Likewise find and provide for his Said Apprentice
meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the term
afd.       Whereupon the Said Beauchamp Hull is ordered to Give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd.
Thereupon the Said Beauchamp Hull together with Robert Jones and James Phillips his Securitys all present
herein Court in their Proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd. John Askins in the Sum of
thirty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland of their bodys Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and
Severally to the use of the Said John Askins to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said Beauchamp
Hull do not during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a Ship Carpinter and to Read write
and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration of his Servitude do not Give him a new
Suit of Cloaths of broad Cloath Over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and a broad Ax and Adz and

James Hust Lycence    James Hust of Somerset County Inholder Came here into Court in his proper
to keep tavern    person & prays that he may be permitted to keep an ordinary or house of
Entertainment in the in the County afd. at his own house for the use And Conveniency of
Travellers and Strangers as to ym. Respectively shall seem meet which is by ye Court here unto
him Granted he Giving Sery as the Law directs to keep Good Rules and orders in his Ordina:
:ry or house of Entertainment as afd. &c    whereupon the Said James Hust together with
William Nutter Beachamp Hull of Somerset County Gent his Sery all present
here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto Lordship
the Right Honrble ye Lord Propry of ye Province of Maryland in thirty pounds
Curt money of Sd. Province of their bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and Tenements
Joyntly and Severally to ye Use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors to be made &
Levied If it happen that the Said James Hust do not keep Good Rules and orders
& do Suffer Idole, Loose and disorderly persons to Tipple Game and Committ disorders or
other Irregularities in his Ordinary or house of Entertainment Contrary to the
true Intent and meaning of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and Provided &c

Mary Stevens    Mary Stevens of Somerset County Inholder Came here into
Lycence to keep tavern    Court in her proper person & prays that She may be permitted
to keep an Ordinary or house of Entertainment in the County afd. at her own house
for the use And Conveniency of Travellers and Strangers as to them Respectively
Shall Seem meet which is by the Court here unto her Granted She Giving Security as
the Law directs to keep Good Rules in her Ordinary or house of Entertainment afd.

&c    Whereupon the Said Mary ^ together with Littleton Dennis Joshua Merrill of
Somerset County Gent her Securitys all Present here in Court in their proper persons
Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Honorable the
Lord Proprietary of the province of Maryland in Thirty Pounds Curt money
