Town in the Same County before Isaac Handy Esqr and his Associates the Said Lord Propry his Justices of the Same County Court and for the Same Lord Propry doth Give the Same Justices here to understand and be Informed that Andrew Francis Chaney Late of Somerset Parish in the Said County of Somerset the ninth day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred Sixty and Two with force and Arms in and upon a Certain Pegg Teall in the peace of God and the Said Lord Propry then and there being an Assault did Make and her the Said Peggy then and there did beat wound and ill treat So that of her Life it was Much dispaired and other harms to her the Said Peggy then and there did to the Great damage of the Said Peggy and Against the peace of his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that is now his Good Rule and Government &c. Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Andrew Francis Cheney if &c. To Answer &c And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March Anno Dom. 1762 before the Justices thereof Came the afd. Cheney in his proper person and had a hearing of the Information afd. Saith that he will not Contend with his Lordship but for the Saveing Costs Labour and Expences about the premisses Submits himself at fine with his Said Lordship and puts himself upon favour of the Court &c. Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is Considered by the Court here that the afd. Andrew Francis Chaney for the offence afd. be taken which Said Andrew Francis Chaney present here in Court is fined for the offence afd. the Sum of One Shilling Curt Money which he paid to the Sheriff for the use of Lordship &c
hundred and Sixty Two with force and Arms at the Parish afd. in the County afd. in and upon a Certain William Nutter in the peace of God and the Said Lord Propry then and there being an Assault did make and him the Said William then and there did beat wound and Ill treat so that of his Life it was much dispaired and Other harms to him the Said William then and there did to the Great Damage of the Said William And Against the peace of his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is his good Rule and Government and So forth Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said John Watkins if &c. to Answer &c And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March Anno Dom. 1762 before the Justices thereof Came the afd. John Watkins According to a Certain Recoge. by him before that time Acknowledged and had a hearing of Indictment afd. Saith that he will not Contend with his Said Lordship but for the Saveing Costs Labour and Expences about the premisses Submits himself at fine with his Said Lordship and puts himself upon favour of the Court Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is Considered by the Court here that the afd. John Watkins for the offence afd. be taken &c. Which Said John Watkins present here in Court as afd. is fined for the offence afd. the Sum of five Shillings Curt Money which he paid tot he Sheriff for the use of his Lordship &c |
