Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriffe of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said Aaron Tillman if
he Should be found in his Bailywick and him Should Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices
of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March Anno
Dom. 1762 to Answer unto his Said Lordship of and Concerning the Indictment afd. &c.
           Att which day here Came the afd. Aaron Tillman in his proper Person and had a hearing of the
Indictment afd. Saith that he will not Contend with his Said Lordship but for the Saveing Costs Labour and
Expences about the premisses Submits himself at fine with his Said Lordship by Occasion of the premisses and
put himself upon favour of the Court &c
           Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is Considered
by the Court here that the afd. Aaron Tillman for the Premisses and Offence afd. in the Indictment afd.
Specified be taken &c which Said Aaron Tillman present here in Court as afd. is fined for the premisses and
Offence afd. the Sum of five Shillings Curt Money which he paid down to the Sheriff for the use of his Lordship &c

@    We the Grand Jury for the body of Somerset County upon Our Oath do present a Certain
Sarah Bowen    Sarah Bowing (formerly named Sarah Ballard) Late of Somerset Parish that the Said Sarah
Bowing did bear a Bastard Child Against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided
and So forth                                                                             William Fleming foreman
Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said Sarah Bowing
abovesd if She Should be found in his Bailywick and her Should Safe keep so that he might have her body
before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third
Tuesday of March Anno Dom. 1762 to Answer unto his Said Lordship of and Concerning the Presentment afd.
           Att which day here Came the afd. Sarah Bowen in her proper person and had a hearing of the Presentment
afd. Saith that She Cannot deny but that She is Guilty of the Premisses in the Presentment afd. Above upon
her Imposed in Manner and form as by the Presentment afd. Above Against her Supposed but will not declare
the father of the Bastard Child afd. but is Willing to pay her fine for the Same According to Act of Assembly
in Such Case Provided &c    Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen and by the Court fully
understood it is Considered by the Court here that the afd. Sarah Bowen for the premisses and offence afd. Specified
be taken which said Sarah Bowen is fined for the offence afd. the Sum of three pounds Curt Money which She paid
to the Sheriff for the use of the County afd.    Whereupon the Said Sarah Bowen is ordered to Give Security to Save &
keep Indemnified the Justices of Somerset County from all Costs Charges and Troubles that may Accrew by means
of the Birth of the Bastard Child afd. Thereupon a Certain Joseph Read of Somerset County planter present
here in Court in his proper person undertook for the Said Sarah Bowen and Acknowledged himself to be held and
firmly bound unto His Lordship the Lord Propry in twenty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland of His body Goods
and Chattles Lands and tenements to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said Sarah doth not Save
and keep Indemnified the Justices of Somerset County Court from all Costs Charges and troubles that may
Accrew by means of the Birth of the Bastard Child afd. &c

The Same    Somerset fst The Jurors for his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is for the
@    Body of Somerset County upon their Oath Present that Jabez Pitt Late of Coventry Parish in the
Jabez Pitt    County afd. Gent on the thirtieth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred
and Sixty One with force and Arms at the Parish afd. in the County afd. in and upon a Certain Sarah Tomlinson
in the peace of God and the Said Lord Propry then and there being an Assault did make and him the Said Sarah
then and there did beat wound and Evilly treat so that of his Life it was much dispaired and other Harms to her
the Said Sarah then and there did to the Great Damage of the Said Sarah And Against the Peace of his Said
Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is his Good Rule and Government and So forth
      Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said
