Went with him into the old field to the Eastward of the Said Aaron Tilghmans Dwelling house and told him where
that Stump was Stood Solomon Tilghmans Bounder which Said Bounder was a Scrubbed White Oak and that
he Seed the tree Marked where now Stands a lightwood post marked with Sixteen Notches and further this Deponant
Saith not taken this fifteenth day of August Anno Dom. 1761                             Thomas Gibbens
   The Deposition of Joseph Tilghman Aged Sixty five Years or thereabouts being Sworn on the holy Evangelist of
Almighty God Deposeth and Saith that about thirty Six or thirty Seven Years Agoe he was in the Woods with
Aaron Tilman And he Asked where Solomon Tilmans Bounder was and Says Aaron Tilghman as this
Deponant Remembers told him that there Stood this Deponants Brother Solomon Tilghmans bounder
which Said Bounder was a Scrubbed White Oak and Stooped to the Eastward and where now Stands a Marked
Lightwood post marked with Sixteen Notches or thereabouts now in the old field And further this Deponant
Saith not Taken this fifteenth day of August Anno Dom. 1761                 his

from the Justices of Somerset County Court to Examine Evidences on behalf of a Certain John Tilghman in
Relation to the bounds of a tract of Land Called Gideons Luck or the bounds of Any other on which the Same may
depend We the Subscribers being duly Qualified do hereby Certifie that the Depositions hereto Annexed was
taken before us as Witness our hands and Seals this 16th day of November Anno Dom. 1761

Commission and    Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c. To John Williams James Gunby William
Affidavits    Miles and Isaac Coulbourn of Somerset County Gent Greeting know ye that we have Appointed You or Any three
or two of You to be our Commissioners to Examine Evidences on behalf of a Certain James Ward in Relation to the bounds of
A Certain tract of Land Called Prices Vineyard or the Bounds of Any other Land on which the Same may depend We therefore
Require you or Any three or two of You at Some time and place as to You or Any three or two of You it Shall Seem Convenient
You Meet on the afd. Land Called Prices Vineyard or Any other Land on which the Bounds of the Same may depend You first
haveing taken Your Oaths on the holy Evangels of Almighty God According to Act of Assembly in Such Case made and
Provided and there Cause to Come before you or Any three or two of You all Such Evidences as Shall be to You or Any three
or two of You Nominated by the Said Complainant or Deft. and that You or Any three or two of You Examine them upon their
Corporall Oaths to be by You or Any three or two of You Administred on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God in the presence
of the Complainant or Deft. if Any Touching the truth or Remembrance of their knowledge or Any thing that may
Relate to the Cause afd. and that Reduceing the Severall Depositions into Writing You Send the Same With this our
Commission under Your or Any three or two of Your hands and Seals to us to our County Court of Somerset with all
Convenient Speed Wittness Isaac Handy Esqr one of our Justices of our Said Court the 21st day of March Anno Dom. 1761
      And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of November being the
Seventeenth day of the Same Month Anno Dom. 1761 before the Justices thereof Came John Williams and James
Gunby Two of the Gent Nominated in the Within Commission and Returned the Same Endorsed in Manner
following with the Severall Depositions thereto Annexed
      March 30th: day In the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One was the within Named John
Williams and James Gunby Sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God well and truly to Execute the within
Commission as it is to them directed           Before           S Wheatly
Somerset to witt    The Deposition of Abraham Price Aged Seventy Years or thereabouts being Sworn on the Holy Evangelist
of Almighty God Deposes as followeth this Deponant Saith that About thirty five or forty Years Agoe Thomas Ward
which is deceased Shewed him a Pine Marked with Sixteen Notches Standing on the South Side of a Branch
which Leads into Back Creek and within about Eleven Yards from the Main Road which Leads down to Isaac Mores
And told him it was a Bounder of the Land he Lived on Called Prices Vine Yard this Deponant further Saith that he
Knew the afd. Pine when it was a Green Growing tree and further Saith not
   By Virtue of a Commission to us directed Bearing date the 21st day of march Anno Dom. 1761 By the Justices of Somerset
County Court we the Subscribers Being Sworn According to the directions of An Act of Assembly in Such Case made and
provided Having Given Notice as the Law Requires Went on the Spott Mentioned on the above deposition did take this 25th day of
Aprill 1761 Given under our hands & Seals                                          John Williams         James Gunby
