An act to divorce Virginia Williams , from her husband,
Isaac Williams
|
|
|
|
Preamble
|
WHEREAS, it appers to this General Assembly that Vir-
ginia Williams and Isaac Williams, have been living sepa-
rate and apart for seven years last past, And whereas, it
also appears that although no imputation can properly rest
upon the moral character or conduct of either party, the
affections of the parties are so entirely alienated as to pre
elude all hope of their living together in harmony and
peace,— Therefore,

Divorces
|
Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary
land, That Virginia Williams, be, and she rs hereby divorc-
ed, a vinculo matrimonii, from her husband, Isaac Wil-
liams.

|
|
|
Sec. 2 And be it enacted, That the said Virginia Wil-
liams may, and she is hereby authorised, to reassume and
use her maiden surname, Provided, nevertheless, that noth-
ing contained in this act, shall operate, or be construed, to
render the issue of the said Virginia Williams and Isaac
Williams, lawfully begotten and born during their cover-
ture, illegitimate

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Mary Baldwin be, and she is hereby divorced from her hus-
band James Baldwin, and the marriage heretofore had
and solemnized between them, is hereby declared to be
