CHAP. 212.

at said period after demand is made in writing by the major-
ty of the board of trustees of any such school for its pro-
portion, the said trustees may in the name of the State, sue

Recovery

for and recover the same for the use of their school by ac-
tion of debt, before a Single justice of the peace, whatever
may be the amount due, instated jointly against said justice
of the Orphan's court in their individual capacity, in which
action the same proceedings may be had as in action for the
recovery of debts under Fifty dollars, before a single jus-
tice of the peace.

School in middle
district

Sec. 15. And be it further enacted, That instead of the lo-
cated school in the middle district of said county, heretofore
located by the commissoners under the act of eighteen hun-
dred and thirty one, chapter two hundred and forty four, at
a place called Driver's cross roads, there shall be and is
hereby established and located a school for said county at
a place commonly called the south end of Carter's or
White's lane, in said county, which school hereby located,
shall be and is hereby declared to be entitled to all the
rights and privileges of a located school, and may entitle
itself to a distributive proposition of said donation under
said act of eighteen hundred and thirty one, aud this supple-
ment, as if it were a school located under said act: and
he Scud located school at Drivers cross roads, shall
from the passage of this act cease to be a located school
under said act of eighteen hundred and thirty one,

Certificates of in-
vestments

Sec. 16. And be it further enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the Orphan's court of said county, to deposit \vith the Re-
gister of Wills for said county, all the certificates of stock
or other evidences of investments made, or of funds on
hand relating either to the free or charity school funds or
the said donation from the State, which it shall be the duty
of said Register to preserve amongst the papers of Ms of-

fice and to record in a well bound record book to be kept
for that purpose, and that it shall also be the duty of said
Register to record in said book a full and fair account of

to said fund or said donation, showing particularly the
