CHAP 169.

CHAPTER 168

Passed Mar 9, 1835

A third supplement to the act, entitled, an act to Incorporate
the President and Directors of the Firemen's Insurance
Company of Baltimore, passed at December session, eight
teen hundred and twenty five chapter fifty five

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the President and Directors of the Firemen's Insurance
Company of Baltimore, shall have power to appropriate
such portions of the profits accruing to the Company, to
the reduction of the stock notes of the stockholders, as the
Board of Directors shall, from time to time, deem advi-
sable

A further supplement to the act, entitled, an act for the Edu-
cation of the Deaf and Dumb, of this State

Reports required

Be it matted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and alter the passage of this act, it shall be the duty
of the levy courts, or the commissioners of the several
counties of this State, and of the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore, o inquire into and make a return to the Go
vernor of this State, on the first Monday in May, annually,
of the names of all the deaf and dumb white persons of
sound mind, in their respective counties and city, from nine
to twenty one years of age, who are in indigent circum-
stances, or whose private fortunes, in the opinion of said
levy courts or county commissioners, are insufficient to
afford them an opportunity of removing to the Pennsylvania
Institution for the Deaf and Dumb, to be there educated,
and that so much of the original act, to which this act is a
further supplement, as is inconsistent with the provisions of
this act, be, and the same is hereby repealed
