Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That George Wells, John W Duvall, George Me-
|

Nier, Andrew Sheer, and William McParlin, be, and they
are hereby appointed Commissioners, to open and extend
East street in the city of Annapolis, of its present width from
|

the State House circle, and to extend the same to the water
line of said city, and the said street, when so opened and ex-
tended, shall be deemed and taken, and is hereby declared
to be a public street and highway forever hereafter, and the

said Commissioners are hereby required to return a plot of
the said street, when opened and extended, to the Clerk oi
the Corporation of the city of Annapolis, there to be

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Commis-
sioners, or a majority of them, shall, after having given at
least twenty days notice in the newspapers of the city of
Annapolis, proceed to assess and value, upon oath, what
damages may be sustained, by any person or persons what-
ever, by opening and extending said street, and if any
person or body corporate shall think himself, herself, or
themselves aggrieved by the decision of said Commission-

ers, such person or body politic may, by petition, appeal to
the next County Court of Anne Arundel county, and the
Judges thereof are hereby authorised to review and correct
any decision made by said Commissioners

Sec. 3 And be it enacted, That the said street shall not
be extended or opened through the property of any indi-
vidual injured thereby, until the damages by t em sustained
and assessed as aforesaid, shall be paid or tendered in pay-
ment.

Sec. 4 And be it enacted, That in case the obstruc-
tions in the said street are not removed within sixty days
