DOCKETS
    Upon such appearance, the court shall
issue a commission to a person, &c. to
take such testimony as the respective
parties require to be taken; which testimony,
after twenty days notice of the
time and place of meeting, shall be received,
reduced to writing, and returned
to the clerk of the court, &c. whose
duty it shall be to forward to the legislature
the petition, answer, testimony,
and all other proceedings had, &c.
    Clerk entitled to $2 for receiving, filing
and forwarding said proceedings;
the sheriff $1 for serving subpœna on
the party, and 50 cents for subpœna on
each witness; each commissioner $3 per
day employed, &c. all of which fees to
be paid by the petitioner
