                                        RESOLUTIONS.                                                                                                                                   1829.  

                                            No. 38.

A Resolution with its preamble, requiring the Register of the
    Land Office for the Western Shore, to take charge of certain
    books and papers of the late Auditor Generals' Office,
    deposited in the Council Chamber.


Passed Mar. 1, 1830.
    WHEREAS, the books and papers of the late Auditor Generals'
Office, contain accounts of confiscated lands in this state,
sold by the intendant of the revenue, and are otherwise, directly
or indirectly, connected with the Land Office, which is
therefore their suitable depository.

    Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That it be
the duty of the Register of the Land Office for the Western
Shore, and he is hereby required to take immediate possession
and charge of all books and papers, which were formally kept
in the Auditor Generals' Office relative to the confiscated lands
in this state, sold by the intendant of the revenue, or which
are directly or indirectly, connected with the land office, and
to furnish to those who shall apply for it, information of their
contents, charging and receiving therefor, as for like services
heretofore rendered, officially.

                                            No. 39.

A Resolution for commemorating the birth of the illustrious
                                         Washington.


Passed Feb. 20, 1830.
    Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor and Council be requested to cause the Flag to be
hoisted on the Dome of the State House, and a National Salute
to be fired at sunrise, noon, and at sunset, on the 22d day
of this month, in commemoration of the birth of the illustrious
Washington.

Resolutions relative to the printed copies of the Journals of
    Proceedings of the Legislature, sent to the Offices of the
    Clerks of the several County Courts for distribution.


Passed Feb. 26, 1830.
    Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
clerks of the several counties of this State, be, and they are
hereby directed, to preserve all the printed copies of the
votes and proceedings, received at their respective offices,
which are not demanded by persons entitled to the same, and
that they report to the next General Assembly of Maryland,
