            THOMAS KING CARROLL, ESQ. GOVERNOR.                                                                                                              1829.

    Section 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners for Anne Arundel county, and the
commissioners or Levy Court of Prince George's county, as
the case may be, and they are hereby authorised and directed,
to levy on the assessable property of said counties, a
sum of money, not exceeding three hundred dollars, in each of
the aforesaid counties, for the purpose of erecting the bridge
aforesaid.
  CHAP. 176.  

Levy authorised.
    Sec. 2.  And be it enacted, That Richard Duvall, Basil Mulliken,
George W. Higgins, and William D. Merriken, be, and
they are hereby appointed commissioners, a majority of whom
shall have power to act, to contract with, and employ, any
person or persons, to build and complete the same; and are
hereby vested with authority to dispose of all the materials
composing the present bridge, in such manner as they may
think most advantageous, and to apply the proceeds thereof to
the building the one authorised by this act.

    Sec. 3.  And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the
aforesaid commissioners to cause bond, with approved security,
to be given in double the amount of the contract, for the
true and faithful performance of the work, and for the insurance
of the bridge for ten years.

                                        CHAPTER 177.

An act authorising the Levy Court of Prince George's County,
    and the Commissioners of Anne Arundel County, to levy a
    sum of money for repairing a bridge over Patuxent River, at
    Queen Anne.



Passed Feb. 27, 1830.
    WHEREAS, It is represented to this General Assembly, that
the bridge over Patuxent River, at Queen Anne, has become
dangerous, and almost impassable, from the decayed state of
the same, and that it would greatly conduce to the convenience
of the inhabitants of said counties, and the public generally,
that said bridge be repaired at the place aforesaid; Therefore,
Preamble.
    Section 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Justices of the Levy Court of Prince George's
county, and the Commissioners of Anne Arundel county, be,
and they are hereby authorised and directed, to levy on the
assessable property of said counties, a sum of money, (at their
