LICENSES. - —— Persons who sell only cakes,

bread, beer, cider, apples, &c. or other

domestic fruit, need not obtain a license,

LOTTERIES.- - Prohibited from being drawn or noti-

fied unless approved by the lottery com-

missioners; and every lottery declared

to be unauthorised unless granted by the

legislature, and approved by the lottery

In determining the amount to be raised

by any lottery, the lottery commissioners

are not to allow any deduction to be made,

because of any tickets remaining unsold;

nor on account of any expenses incident

to the sale or drawing, unless authorised

to raise a specified sum clear of expenses.

Baltimore cfty court at the rate of #200

per annum. If issued elsewhere, at the

rate of $50 per annum. The clerk en-

titled to $2 for issuing every license.

given to the state,
