In determining the amount to be raised

are not to allow any deduction to be made,

because of any tickets remaining unsold;

to the sale or drawing, unless authorised

|
|
to raise a specified sum clear of expenses.

Lotteries are not to be united unless

ers, or proposed by them on behalf of the

No person to sell or to notify, &c.

any lottery ticket, (except the lottery

commissioners,) or to keep any office for
|

selling or notifying any ticket in any lot-

tery granted by this state, &c. unless

such person shall have first obtained a

license for that purpose. Persons so of-

Licenses to sell, notify, &c. lottery

tickets, &c in lotteries granted by this

state, &c. to be issued by the clerk of
Baltimore cfty court at the rate of #200

per annum. If issued elsewhere, at the
|
|
|
|
|
rate of $50 per annum. The clerk en-
|
|
|
|
|
titled to $2 for issuing every license.

Before such license is, issued bond to be
