CHAPTER 432.

AN ACT to authorize and request the State Roads Commis-
sion to construct a State road from some point on the
present State road between Leonardtown and Great Mills
to Piney Point, in St. Mary's County.
(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 433.

AN ACT to permit the Maryland Tobacco Growers' Associa-
tion, a corporation incorporated by an Act of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, the same being Chapter 233
of the Acts of 1906, to occupy such space in the State
Tobacco Warehouse as the said Association and the In-
spector of the State Tobacco Warehouse may deem neces-
sary for its headquarters and salesrooms.
(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 434.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 36-A
of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Work, Hours of, in Factories," sub-title "Employment
of Minors," so as to extend the application of said section
to females.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 36-A of Article 100 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, title "Work, Hours of, in Factories," sub-title
"Employment of Minors," as said Section 36-A was enacted
by Chapter 495 of the Acts of 1918, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as
follows:

36-A. The State Board of Labor and Statistics shall have
the discretion of issuing temporary permits to children over
fourteen years of age, who are mentally retarded and are
unable to make further advancement at school, upon the writ-
ten recommendation of the Superintendent of Education, of
the City of Baltimore or any county in the State, as the case
may be.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after June 1, 1920.
