CHAPTER 23.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and City Coun-
cil of Cumberland, Maryland, to retire from service, city
policemen when they arrive at the age of sixty-five years.
And to pay said policemen the sum of forty dollars per
month, during life, if said policemen shall have served on
the City Police Force for twenty years next preceding his
retirement.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Mary-
land, be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
retire from the city police force, city policemen when they
arrive at the age of sixty-five years, and if said policemen so
retired, shall have served on said police force for twenty years
next preceding said retirement, he shall be entitled to receive
thereafter, from the said City of Cumberland, the sum of
forty dollars per month during his life.
SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 24.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 45A
of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of the
State of Maryland, title "Talbot County," sub-title
"Easton," as enacted by Chapter 458 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1906 and re-enacted
by Chapter 365 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland at the January Session of 1910.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 45A of Article 21 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Talbot County,"
sub-title "Easton," as enacted by Chapter 458 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1906 and re-enacted
by Chapter 365 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land at the January Session of 1910, be and the same is here-
by repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as
follows:
