vided for, divided by the total number of years the last bonds
shall have to run; provided, that the last bond of any issue
shall mature in not less than five years and not more than
fifty years from the date of issue, and the date of issue shall
he the same on all bonds issued for any particular purpose
approved and authorized by the qualified voters of the town;
to pay and cancel the said bonds issued under the powers
herein conferred the Mayor and Council shall annually levy
a tax, exclusive of the tax of one dollar on the property of the
town elsewhere provided for, upon the assessable property of
the town sufficient to pay the bond or bonds maturing in each
year and that may he issued under this Act and the interest
thereon and the interest on all bonds outstanding and unpaid;
and the amount of said tax shall be kept separately by the said
Mayor and Council and not used for any other purpose than
as herein specified.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That all Acts and parts of Acts in-
consistent with the intent and purpose of this Act be, and the
same are, hereby repealed in so far as they or either of them
are inconsistent herewith.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from and after June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 19.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 227 and 236 of Article 20 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Somer-
set County," sub-title "Revenue and Taxes," as amended
by Chapter 10 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1910, and Chapter 275 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1918. and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 227 and 236 of Article 20 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Somerset County,"
sub-title "Revenue and Taxes," as amended by Chapter 10
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1910 and Chapter 275
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1918. be
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as
follows:
