CHAPTER 202.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 326
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Public Civil Laws
of Maryland, title "Testamentary Law." sub-title
"Wills."
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Section 326 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Public
Civil Laws of Maryland, title "Testamentary Law," sub-title
"Wills," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments so that said section will read as follows:
326. No devise, legacy or bequest shall lapse or fail of tak-
ing effect by reason of the death of any devisee or legatee
(actually and specially named as devisee or legatee, or who is
or shall be mentioned, described, or in any manner referred to,
or designated or identified as devisee or legatee in any will,
testament or codicil) in the lifetime of the testator, but every
such devise, legacy or bequest shall have the same effect and
operation in law to transfer the right, estate and interest in
the property mentioned in such devise or bequest as if such
devisee or legatee had survived the testator.

CHAPTER 203.
AN ACT to fix the salaries of the Treasurer and Assistant
Treasurer of Cecil County and to provide for a clerk to
the said Treasurer.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Treasurer of Cecil County, for the dis-
charge of the duties of his office shall receive an annual salary
of two thousand dollars, and the Assistant Treasurer of Cecil
County, for the discharge of the duties of his office shall receive
an annual salary of seventeen hundred and fifty dollars, to be
paid by the County Commissioners of said county in equal
monthly installments.
SEC. 2". And be it further enacted, That the assistant super-
visor of taxes for Cecil County shall be clerk to the Treasurer
of Cecil County and shall receive an annual salary of six hun-
dred dollars in addition to his salary as such assistant super-
