for which he was appointed, open and shall attend said sta-
tion house every day (Sunday excepted) at such hours and
times as his duties may require, or as he may be required by
the County Commissioners or by the State's Attorney for
Baltimore County; said justice so selected from the Twelfth
Election District shall keep his office open at such other hours
and times as his duties may require or as ordered by the
County Commissioners or State's Attorney of the county; and
said justice so selected from the Third Election District to sit
at Pikesville shall attend his office at such hours and times as
his duties may require, or as he may be required by the
County Commissioners or by the State's Attorney for Balti-
more County; said justice of the peace so selected from the
Ninth Election District to sit at his office at Towson, in said
district, shall keep his office open every day (Sunday ex-
cepted) at such hours and times as his duties may require,
or as he may be required to do by the County Commissioners
of the State's Attorney for Baltimore County; and the said
justice of the peace so selected from the Thirteenth Election
District to sit at the station-house at St. Denis, in said district,
shall keep his office at the station house for which he was ap-
pointed open and shall attend said station house every day
(Sunday excepted) at such hours as he may be required to do
by the County Commissioners or by the State's Attorney for
Baltimore County. When any such justice appointed to sit
at Towson or any of the station houses aforesaid shall desig-
nate any other justice of the peace to act for him in his
absence it shall first be necessary for him to obtain the consent
of the County Commissioners allowing such justice to act for
him. And the Governor shall upon the request of the Board
of County Commissioners of Baltimore County designate one
of the justices of the peace of the Fifteenth Election District
of Baltimore County to act as a committing magistrate, and
such justice of: the peace when so designated, shall sit as a
committing magistrate at such hours, on such days and at
such places in said district as the County Commissioners of
Baltimore County may designate.

319. It shall be the duty of the police officers appointed by
the County Commissioners of Baltimore County, when called
upon so to do, to serve and execute any and all writs, war-
rants, subpoenas, and commitments which may be issued by
the justices of the peace of Baltimore County in the exercise
