inmate on the first Monday in October, nineteen hundred and
twenty-three, or as soon thereafter as their successors qualify.

SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That the Board of
Supervisors of Elections of Baltimore City shall cause to be
printed on the ballots to be cast at the next ensuing general
election, being the Presidential and Congressional election to
be held in said city on the Tuesday after the first Monday in
November, nineteen hundred and twenty, the title of this Act,
and immediately beneath said title the two following state-
ments :

For appointment of Police Boards by the Governor
For appointment of Police Boards by the Mayor
with the usual box or voting space opposite each of said
statements. If, at said election, a majority of the votes cast
thereat in relation to this Act shall be in favor of the appoint-
ment of the Police Boards by the Mayor, as herein provided,
then Section 1 of this Act shall go into effect, and if a majority
of the votes so cast at said election shall be in favor of the
appointment of the Police Boards by the Governor, then Sec-
tion 1 of this Act shall not go into effect or become operative,
and the appointing power shall remain unchanged.

SECTION 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act take
effect on and after June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 114.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 33 of Bagby's Code
of the Public General Laws, title "Elections," sub-titled
''Primary Elections," to follow Section 182A, and to be
designated as Section 182B, providing for the party
nominations of candidates for County Commissioners in
Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a neAv section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 33 of Bagby's Code of the Public General Laws, title
"Elections," sub-titled "Primary Elections," to follow Sec-
tion 182A, and to be numbered 182B, providing for the nomi-
nations of candidates for County Commissioners in Anne
Aruhdel County, to read as follows:
