or for the general purposes of the said Baltimore Community
Foundation as may be lawful.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That to further assure
the carrying out of the purposes of the Baltimore Community
Foundation, each and every provision of this Act is to be
construed as independent of every other provision to the extent
that if it should be judicially determined that any provision
of this Act is invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remaining provisions.

CHAPTER 666.
AN ACT to authorize and regulate the practice of Chiroprac-
tic, to provide for the licensing and examination of Chi-
ropractors, to create a State Board of Examination and
Registration, to provide for the appointment of same, to
establish rules and regulations governing said board, to
provide a curriculum, and establish a fee for examination,
to provide for the disposal of the fund arising from said
fee, to regulate the holding of meetings of said board and
issuance of license to practice Chiropractic, to provide a
penalty for practicing Chiropractic without a license as
provided by this Act, and to repeal all Acts in conflict
herewith.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Maryland:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby created and established a
board to be known by the name and style of the State Board
of Chiropractic Examiners, and said board shall be composed
of three (3) resident course graduated practicing Chiroprac-
tors of integrity and ability, who shall be residents of the
State of Maryland and who shall have practiced Chiropratic
in the State for a period of at least three (3) years. No two
members of said board shall be graduates of the same school or
college of Chiropractic.
SEC. 2. The Governor of the State of Maryland shall within
thirty (30) days after the taking effect of this Act appoint
three (3) Chiropractors, who shall possess the qualifications
specified in Section 1 of this Act, to constitute the members of
said board. Said members shall be so classified by the Gov-
ernor that the term of office of one shall expire in one year,
