CHAPTER 63.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
51-A of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title '' Caroline County,'' sub-title '' County
Commissioners," as enacted by Chapter 219 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1892.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 51-A of Article 6 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Caroline County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:
SECTION 51-A. The County Commissioners of Caroline
County shall each receive, in lieu of the per diem and mileage,
an annual salary of five hundred dollars ($500.00) payable,
quarterly, and all necessary traveling expenses when travel-
ing on county business outside of the county.
SECTION 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage, it being hereby declared
an emergency law necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public safety.

CHAPTER 64.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
162 A of Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled "Revenue and Taxes," as the said Section was
repealed and re-enacted by the Act of 1918, Chapter 294,
so as to eliminate therefrom the exception of the shares of
stock of trust companies located or.having a place of busi-
ness in Baltimore City from the rate of taxation upon
other trust company stock herein fixed.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 162-A of Article 81 of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Revenue and Taxes" as the said-sec-
tion was repealed and re-enacted by the Act of 1918, Chapter
294, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
