paper shall be given of the proposed election, the proposed
ordinance being set out in full. If a majority of the duly
qualified voters who cast their ballots at said election shall
favor any proposition set out in such ordinance, and under
no other circumstances, the Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen
of the City of Annapolis shall have said bonds prepared and
offer them for sale, and shall expend the proceeds for the
purposes set out in the ordinance or that portion of the ordi-
nance which shall have been approved by the majority of the
qualified voters of the City of Annapolis, and the said Mayor,
Counselor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis is hereby
authorized to prepare plans and specifications to comply with
any such work of construction or improvement which may be
so approved, and to enter into contracts for the purpose of
accomplishing the same, but the total amount of bonds issued
under authority of this Act shall not exceed Two Hundred
Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the bonds provided
for in this Act shall be exempt from all county and municipal
taxation.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That after the taking
effect of this Act, if two hundred or more of the qualified
voters of the City of Annapolis shall petition the Mayor,
Counselor and Aldermen to submit any matter under the
provisions of this Act, then the said Mayor. Counselor and
Aldermen of the City of Annapolis shall prepare an ordinance
to that effect and submit the same under the provisions of
this Act.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor. Coun-
selor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis shall name the
officials, fix the hours of voting and determine all other
matters connected with the holding of any election under this
Act, which is not already provided for in this Act.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That no election under
this Act shall be called to take place later than July first,
1922, biit that in the event of the approval of any proposed
ordinance under this Act, prior to that time the Mayor, Coun-
selor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis shall have power
to complete the same.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That for the purposes
of this Act, whenever any part of it shall become operative,
