CHAPTER 546.

AN ACT to provide for the regulation, control and licensing
of horse racing within Anne Arundel County, to create
the Anne Arundel County Racing Commission and pre-
scribe its powers and duties, to provide license fees for
the conduct of horse racing within said county; and to
repeal Sections 219, 220 and 221 of Article 27 of Bagby's
Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Crimes and Punishment," sub-title "Gaming."
(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 547.

AN ACT to provide for the salaries of white school teachers in
Cecil County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of .Mary-
land, That on and after September 1, 1920, the white teachers
regularly employed in the public schools and public high
schools of Cecil County shall receive the salaries hereinafter
prescribed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That every white
teacher regularly employed in the public schools of Cecil
County holding a third grade certificate shall receive a salary
of seven hundred ($700) dollars for the first school year and
seven hundred and fifty ($750) dollars for the second and
each succeeding school year.

Every white teacher regularly employed in the public
schools of Cecil County holding a second grade certificate
shall receive the following salary per school year: For the
first year, eight hundred and fifty ($850) dollars; for the
second year, nine hundred ($900) dollars; for the third year,
nine hundred and fifty ($950) dollars; for the fourth year,
one thousand ($1,000) dollars; for the fifth and succeeding
years, one thousand and fifty ($1,050) dollars.

Every white teacher regularly employed in the public
schools of Cecil County holding a first grade certificate shall
receive the following salary per school year: For the first
year, one thousand ($1.000) dollars; for the second year, one
thousand and fifty ($1,050) dollars; for the third year, one
thousand and one hundred ($1,100) dollars; for the fourth
year, one thousand and one hundred and fifty ($1,150) dol-
