make this provision effective as in their judgment may seem
wise and proper.
All persons and corporations failing to observe the pro-
visions of this section, or the rules and regulations of the State
Board of Health made in relation thereto, shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall
be fined not exceeding twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and costs
for each offense.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from June first, 1920.

CHAPTER 525.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
184 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
title, "Health,'' sub-title, "Commissioners of Pharmacy."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 184 of Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, title, "Health," sub-title, "Commission-
ers of Pharmacy," be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:
SEC. 184. Any person of good moral character, who has
had four years' active experience in a pharmacy where physi-
cians' prescriptions are daily compounded and has attained
the age of twenty-one years, who shall present satisfactory
evidence to the Maryland Board of Pharmacy, that he or she
has had, at least, a four years' standard high school training
or its equivalent and is a graduate of a reputable school or
college of pharmacy approved by the said board and who, after
examination by the said board, shall be, by it, deemed com-
petent, shall be registered as a pharmacist and be given a
certificate of such registration. Such person shall make appli-
cation to the secretary of the said board, at least ten days
before any stated meeting of the board and shall pay to
the board a fee of fifteen dollars. Any person of good moral
character, who has had two years' active experience in a phar-
macy where physicians' prescriptions are daily compounded
and has attained the age of eighteen years, who shall present
satisfactory evidence to the said board that he or she has had,
at least a two years' standard high school training or its equiv-
alent and has attended a reputable school or college of phar-
