sentence was imposed, and that the sentence so imposed was
such as was provided by the laws of this State for the crime
with which such person was charged before such justice or in
such court, the court to whom the return to such writ shall be
made shall not by reason of any errors, omissions or irregu-
larities which may appear on the face of such commitment or
transcript, discharge the person so held, but may direct that
such commitment or transcript shall be returned by the officer
in whose custody such person shall be detained to the Justice
of the Peace or court from whom or from which such commit-
ment or transcript shall have been received in order that such
errors, omissions or irregularities may be corrected by such
Justice of the Peace or court, and such commitment or tran-
script, so corrected, delivered to the officer having custody of
such person.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June, 1920.

CHAPTER 516.

AN ACT to authorize and request the State Roads Commis-
sion to construct a public road from Vienna to connect
with the state road at Brookview, in Dorchester County.

(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 517.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the State Roads Commission
of Maryland to construct and thereafter maintain as a
part of the State roads system, an improved highway
from the intersection of State Road No. 1 with Johnson
Avenue, in Hyattsville, Maryland, to the District of
Columbia line at or near the town of Mount Rainier, to
connect with Rhode Island Avenue extended, and to ac-
quire the necessary land by purchase or condemnation.
(Vetoed.)
