SECTION 2. Be it further enacted, That the State Roads
Commission is hereby authorized and directed to charge the
County Commissioners of Baltimore County one-half of the
final award and deduct same from Baltimore County's allot-
ment of State-Aid Road Fund or State Road Funds.

CHAPTER 506.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
134, 137, 138, 141, 142, 143, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 152,
154, 155, 156, 159, 161 and 163 of Article 56 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland, title, "Licenses," sub-title,
"Motor Vehicles," as the same were repealed and re-
enacted by Chapter 85 of the Acts of 1918.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 134, 137, 138, 141, 142, 143, 145, 146, 147,
148, 149, 152, 154, 155, 156, 159, 161 and 163 of Article 56
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title, "Licenses," sub-
title, "Motor Vehicles" as the same were repealed and re-
enacted by Chapter 85 of the Acts o'f 1918, be and the same
are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as
to read as follows:

DEFINITIONS.

134. Whenever the term "motor vehicle" is used in this
sub-title, except when otherwise expressly provided, it shall
be taken to include all vehicles, including motor bicycles, motor
cycles, semi-trailers, trailers, side-cars, tractors and traction
engines, propelled or drawn by any power other than muscu-
lar power, except such vehicles as run only upon rails or
tracks. The term "solid tire vehicle" shall include all motor
vehicles equipped with two or more solid tires. The term
"local authorities" shall include all officers of counties, cities,
towns or villages, as well as all boards, committees and other
public officials of such counties, cities, towns or villages. The
term "State" as used in the sub-title, except when otherwise
expressly provided and except in Section 146, shall also in-
clude the territories and federal districts of the United States.
The term "owner" shall include any person, firm, association
or corporation owning a motor vehicle or having the exclu-
sive use thereof, under contract of purchase, lease, hiring or
