CHAP. 88.
Payment direc-
ted

appropriated to the benefit of said last mentioned female
benevolent school: — Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That so much of said fund as would be payable, under
the provisions of said act, to the President and Direc-
tors of the Frederick Free School, if the same were
now in existence, shall henceforth be paid to Richard
Potts, Richard H. Marshall and William J. Ross,
Esquires, for the use of the Female Benevolent School
of All Saints Parish in Frederick; to be applied and
disposed of by them, for the use of said last mentioned
school, in such manner and to such objects, as the la-
dies, having the care and supervision of said school,

may, from time to time, appoint and direct; provided
nevertheless, that upon the re-establishment of the said
Frederick Free School, if the same shall be re-estab-
lished, all its rights, under the said original act, shall
be thenceforth revived.

An act to Incorporate the Book Company of the Evange-
lical Lutheran Church in the United States.
WHEREAS, sundry persons have formed themselves
into a Book Company for the promotion of religious,
benevolent and literary purposes in the Evangelical
Lutheran Church, by means of printing, binding, pub-
lishing, purchasing and selling books, tracts and
stationery: — Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That George Stonebraker, Joshua Medtart,
Lewis Kemp, B. Kurtz, F. S. Brawns, Doctor J.
Osnald, T. Nixdorff, David Martin, P. Berlin, S. H.
Buehler, Jacob Baker, C. Morris, J. Eager, T. Purse,
M. Buehler, F. Gebhart, J. Strohecker, S. Sener, C.
Smith, J. Hamme, J. Keller, P. S. Artz, S. G. Morris,
W. Bridges, J. Reese, D. Bixler, B. Deford, F. Seyler,
D. Bower, G. Hannan, Jacob Bobn, and such other
persons as have or shall hereafter become stockholders
in said company, are hereby, created and declared a
corporation and body politic by the name of the Book
Company of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the
