fice under the constitution or laws of this
state, which shall have been created,

At the election for delegates to the
General Assembly for 1838 and annually
until after the next census shall be offi-
cially promulged, the number of delegates
to, be elected from the cities of Baltimore
and Annapolis and each of the several



counties prescribed,
From the census of 1840, and every
second census thereafter, the representa-
tion in the house .of delegates shall be

graduated on the following basis:
Every county having less than 15000
souls, federal numbers, sliall have three
tegates; having 15000, and less than
25000, four delegates; having 25000 and
less than $5000, five delegates; having

over 35000 souls, six delegates,
The city of Baltimore shall be entitled
to elect as many delegates, as the county
which shall have the largest representa-
