CHAPTER 265.


An act to provide for the inspection and weight of An-
thracite or Bard Coal, and for the measurement of
Bituminous Coal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That there shall be annually appointed
by the Governor and Council, two discreet and compe-
tent persons, who shall be weighers of anthracite or
hard coal, and measurers of Bituminous coal, for the
city of Baltimore.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all anthracite or
hard coal hereafter sold, within the city of Baltimore,
shall be sold .by the ton, and two thousand two hun-
dred and forty pounds of any coal shall be allowed to
