71 ~  Petition of James Traine, now 18, and Margarett Traine, now 15,  to choose their guardians; ask that John Meclaster be appointed; Court so orders; Meclaster to post security.

71 ~  John West, Court Clerk, makes oath to add two fines, for William Jenckins and Mary Baskett, which were omitted from list of October 1695;

71 ~  Court orders the County levy by laid on 2nd Tuesday in December.

71 ~  Court orders a bridge to be built over head of St. Martins River, per directions proposed by Mr. Samuel Hopkins and Mr. James Round.

71 ~  Court orders a puncheon bridge and road constructed in John Henderson’s district by the Impassable Branch between Pitts Creek and John Williams.

72 ~  Thomas Newbold brings his servant, John Morris, before Court; claims 95 runaway days and presents account for 1590 lbs/tbco expended in obtaining his return; Court orders Harris(sic) serve 950 days extra servitude and pay of 1590 lbs/tbco; Newbold says he will accept three additional years as full satisfaction if Morris serve well and faithfully.  (See Transcription)

72 ~  Francis Jenckins presents account of William Onorton from 1687 totalling 712½ lbs/tbco for taxes and fees paid; also mentions item of  Samuel Cooper; Robert Pirrie, attorney for the estate, admits debt; Court orders payment.

72 ~  James Round presents account of William Onorton from 1693/4 totalling 470 lbs/tbco; Robert Pirrie, attorney for the estate, admits debt; Court orders payment.

72 ~  Bill of debt signed 3 September 1694 by William Onorton entered in record; promises payment of 320 lbs/pork to William Wouldhave at Snow Hill by last of December following; witnesses Thomas Willie and William Onorton; Robert Pirrie, attorney for the estate, admits debt; Court orders payment.

73 ~  Daniel King (Indian) complains to Court that John Parker is building on his land; Court orders Parker to desist until bounds are ascertained; directs that four English men and four Indians inspect the lines and make report; appoints Capt.
