person considering himself aggrieved by the action of the reg-
ister in refusing to register his name as a qualified voter, and
any person aggrieved by the action of the register in striking
his name from the list of qualified voters, may appeal to the
Mayor, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to hear such appeal
and to make such correction in the registration list, by the
hand of the clerk, as justice and right in his judgment shall
require. Such officers of registration and said town clerk when
sitting as an officer of registration shall have during the ap-
pointed time of their respective sittings, in addition to the
duties and authority hereinbefore given them such powers as
are conferred on officers of registration by section 15 of Arti-
cle 33 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland.

B. Qualifications of Voters.

The male inhabitants of said town, who at the date of any
municipal election therein are respectively twenty-one years
of age, and qualified and entitled to vote under the Constitu-
tion and laws of the State of Maryland at any State election
held in the State of Maryland and have been bona fide resi-
dents of the town for one year and of the ward wherein they
severally purpose to vote for thirty days next preceding such
election, and who are registered as hereinbefore provided, shall
possess qualifications of voters in such ward and shall be en-
titled to vote at any election for Mayor and Councilmen, or
at any other municipal election therein.

Nominations.

Nominations of candidates for Mayor and Councilmen shall
be made by petition, provided that the said petition for that
purpose be signed by fifteen voters for Mayor and five voters
for Councilmen and filed with the said Clerk ten days before
the day of election. But the signers of these petitions must be
qualified to vote for the person whose name is presented for
a place on the official ballot, and at least one of them shall
make oath that he is informed and verily believes all the
signers thereof intend so to do, which oath shall be appended
to the petition.

C. General Elections.

On the first Monday in August in the year Nineteen Hun-
dred and Sixteen there shall be selected by the qualified voters
of the town of Brunswick a Mayor who shall have certain
qualifications as hereinafter prescribed, and who shall hold
