SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 31.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 1,
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 21 and 26
of Chapter 179 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1908, entitled, "An Act to Regulate the Sale
and the Granting of Licenses for the Sale of Spirituous and
Fermented Liquors in Baltimore County" and to add eight
new and additional Sections to said Chapter 179 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1908, six thereof
to come in immediately after Section 9 of said Act and to
be designated and known, respectively, as Sections 9A, 9B,
9C, 9D, 9E and 9F of said Act, and two thereof to come
in immediately after Section 21 of said Act and to be desig-
nated and known, respectively, as Sections 21A and 21B of
said Act
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
14, 15, 17, 21 and 26 of Chapter 179 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland of 1908, entitled, "An Act to
Regulate the Sale and the Granting of Licenses for the Sale of
Spirituous and Fermented Liquors in Baltimore County, " be
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, so as to be and read as follows to wit:
1. No person shall hereafter sell, offer for sale, or keep
for sale in Baltimore County, any spirituous, fermented or
intoxicating liquors of any kind, without having obtained a
license therefor as hereinafter provided; but this Act shall not
apply to sales made by any person under a provision of law
requiring him to sell personal property.
2. All licenses to sell spirituous, fermented or intoxicating
liquors of any kind shall expire on the first day of May next
ensuing the date of their issue, and shall be issued for twelve
or six months and for no other times.
3. Any person desiring to obtain a license to sell spirituous,
fermented or intoxicating liquors of any kind in Baltimore
County shall, on or before the first day of April, if he desires
a license for twelve months; on or before the first day of Octo-
