And provided further that the health officer shall attend all
indigent persons in the said County suffering from contagious
diseases.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June, 1916.

CHAPTER 204.
AN ACT to abolish the State Vaccine Agency and the State
Vaccine Agent and to transfer the powers and duties of such
Agency and Agent to the State Board of Health.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, All of the powers and duties now exercised or per-
formed by the State Vaccine Agency, as now provided for by
section 53 of article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
title "Health" sub-title "State Vaccine Agency, " and all of the
powers and duties now exercised or performed by the State
Vaccine Agent, who is now provided for by section 54 of said
Article 43 of said code, together with all the books, records,
documents, unexpended balances and all other matters and
things of or appertaining to said Agency or Agent, shall be
transferred to and devolved upon the State Board of Health,
and the said powers and duties shall thereupon and thereafter
be exercised and performed by the State Board of Health; and
the said State Vaccine Agency and the office of the said State
Vaccine Agent shall thereupon be abolished; nothing in this
Act shall be construed so as to shorten the term of the office
of the incumbent.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect on the first day of June, 1916.
