SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
CHAPTER 123.
AN ACT to add one new section to Chapter 463 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the session of
1912, concerning the retirement from regular duty of pub-
lic school teachers in Allegany County, and providing sal-
aries for teachers retired, to follow next after Section 19 of
said Chapter 463 of said Acts of 1912, and to be numbered
Section 19-A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by ike General Assembly of Mary-
land, That one new section, to be numbered Section 19-A, be
and the same is hereby added to Chapter 463 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the session of 1912,
to follow immediately after Section 19, so as to read as follows:
19-A. The provisions of the foregoing sections of this Act
shall apply to any teacher employed at the Maryland State
Normal School No. 2, located at Frostburg, who was, at the time
of the passage of said Act, a teacher employed in any public
school of Allegany County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first day of June, Nineteen Hundred and Sixteen.

CHAPTER 124.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County 'Commissioners of
Allegany County to provide for the building of a foot bridge
across the Potomac River from a point on Water Street, in
the City of Cumberland.
WHEREAS, It is necessary for the convenience of the citizens
of Cumberland and citizens of Allegany County, residing
without the limits of the City of Cumberland, that a foot
bridge should be erected from a point on the Maryland side
to a point on the West Virginia side of the Potomac River;
now therefore,
