SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That upon the sale of
said Bonds, the proceeds thereof shall be placed in a separate
fund and used by the Mayor and City Council for building
a bridge across Wills Creek at Valley Street and also a bridge
across Wills Creek at Baltimore Street, in the City of Cum-
berland.
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That if said Bonds axe issued, the
Mayor and City Council of Cumberland shall levy on the
taxable property of the City of Cumberland, such sum of
money as may be necessary to pay the interest upon the Bonds
hereby authorized, outstanding from year to year, during each
year that any of said Bonds remain outstanding, and shall
collect said money so levied and pay the interest on said Bonds
as the same becomes due, and they shall levy, as aforesaid,
such further sum of money sufficient to pay Five Thousand
Dollars annually and redeem said Bonds as they serially be-
come due, until all have been paid and redeemed. Said sums
of money, and the amount necessary for interest, as aforesaid,
shall be included in the General Funds of the Mayor and City
Council of Cumberland.
SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That this is an emergency
law necessary for the health and safety of the citizens of Cum-
berland, on account of the dangerous condition of these bridges,
and three-fifths of the members of the General Assembly
concurring therein, shall take effect from the date of its pas-
sage.

CHAPTER 19.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 156, 159, 164 and 165 of Article
22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Washington County, " sub-title "Hagerstown, " and to re-
enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 156, 159, 164 and 165 of Article 22
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Wash-
ington County, " sub-title "Hagerstown, " be and the same are
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read
respectively as follows:
