that the officer issuing permits shall not accept the aforegoing
affidavit unless said affidavit be accompanied by the written cer-
tificate of the physician appointed by the officer authorized to
issue such permits, certifying that he has made a physical
examination and inspection of said child and verily believes
said child to be of the full age of fourteen years, and whenever
practical all information required by sub-division (e) and Par.
(2) of this Section shall be embraced in one certificate.

The officer issuing the certificate shall require the evidence
of age specified in sub-division (a) in preference to that speci-
fied in sub-divisions (b) or (c), and the evidence of age speci-
fied in sub-division (b) in preference to that specified in sub-
division (c), and shall not accept the evidence of age permitted
by sub-division (c) unless he shall receive and file in addition
thereto or as part thereof an affidavit of the parent, guardian,
legal custodian or next friend, showing that no evidence of age
specified in any preceding sub-division or sub-division of this
Section can be produced by the applicant.

CHAPTER 702.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 69,
70, 71, 72 and 75 of Article 72 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (Bagby's Edition), title "Oysters, " sub-title "Gen-
eral Measurers and Inspectors, " so as to place under the
control of the 'Conservation Commission of Maryland the
appointment of inspectors of oysters and supervision of the
performance of their duties and to require certain sworn
statements of oysters purchased in the State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 69, 70, 71, 72 and 75 of Article 72 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (Bagby's Edition), title
"Oysters", sub-title "General Measurers and Inspectors", be
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows:

69. The Conservation Commission of Maryland shall appoint
nine suitable persons to serve as general measurers and in-
spectors of oysters, four of whom shall be assigned to Baltimore
City and the remaining five shall be assigned to such ports or
districts elsewhere in the State as the Commission may in its
discretion deem best for the good of the service. Each general
