dred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for in-
surance on public buildings and personal property of the State,
the sum of twenty thousand dollars, or so much thereof as
may be necessary; to the Secretary of State for the printing
of election laws as provided in Section 122 of Article 33 of
the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
the sum of one thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be
necessary; for the payment of the annual ground rent on the
Tobacco Ware House lots in Baltimore City, four hundred
and forty-eight dollars and eleven cents, the same to be paid out
of the tobacco inspection fund; to meet the deficiency in printing
for the General Assembly of 193 6, to be paid under the direction
of the Board of Public Works in accordance with Section 1
of Article 78 of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws
the sum of two thousand dollars or so much thereof as may be
necessary; for the expenses incident to telephone service during
the session of the General Assembly of 1916 the sum of fifteen
hundred dollars or so much thereof as may be necessary to
be paid under the direction of the Executive; the sum of
twenty thousand dollars or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary, to be used in installing new boilers and making other
necessary repairs to the ice-boat "Annapolis", and the Harbor
Board of Baltimore City is hereby authorized to install said
new boilers and make such other necessary repairs, the same
to be done by contract or contracts awarded by the Board of
Awards, in pursuance of Sections 14 and 15 of the Baltimore
City Charter; payment to be made by the Comptroller upon
receipt of proper vouchers either to the Comptroller of Balti-
more City, or to the contractors direct, also the further sum of
five thousand dollars toward the expense of maintenance and
operation of the ice-boat "Annapolis", the same to be paid to
the City Register of Baltimore City, to be by him deposited to
the credit of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City, to
be drawn upon for the purposes above mentioned only when
ordered by the Board of Estimates of Baltimore City.
SCHOOLS.
For the system of free Public Schools (white and colored) in
the several counties and in the City of Baltimore and the sev-
eral departments of activities thereof the sum of one million
seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($1, 750, 000. ) or as
much thereof as may be paid into the State Treasury on account
of the tax for public schools, and the supplemental tax for
public schools and governmental requirements, such revenues
being based absolutely upon the receipts into the Treasury from
such taxes, provided, however, that in the event the receipts
from such taxes shall exceed the sum of one million seven hun-
dred and fifty thousand dollars ($1, 750, 000. ) such excess shall
