1570 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 685

vided in Article 43, Section 21-B, Volume 3 of the Annotated
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, the sum of five
thousand dollars; to the State Roads Commission for the
building of State aided roads to be expended in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 217 of the Acts of 1910, and
Chapter 121 of the Acts of 1912, the sum of three hundred
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary;
to the State Reporter for salary, three thousand dollars as pro-
vided by Section 2 of Article 80 of the Annotated Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland and the further sum of five hundred
dollars for clerical assistance as provided in Section 5 of Article
80 of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland;
to the State Geological and Economic Survey Commission for
carrying out the provisions of Sections 19 to 25 inclusive, of
Article 91 of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland, the sum of fourteen thousand dollars; to the State
Board of Forestry for salaries and expenses, eight thousand
dollars; also the further sum of five thousand dollars to make
available a like sum of five thousand dollars from the Federal
Government under the Week's Law (Act of Congress, March
first, nineteen hundred and eleven, 36 Stat. 691) also the sum of
two thousand dollars for the protection and development of the
Patapsco Forest Reserve; to the State Tax Commission for sala-
ries and expenses in accordance with Chapter 841 of the Acts of
1914 as amended by the Acts of 1916, the sum of fifty thousand
dollars; to the Maryland State Library Commission for the or-
ganization and conduct of traveling libraries throughout the
State as provided in Sections 100 to 105 inclusive, of Article 77
of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, the
sum of fifteen hundred dollars; to the State Auditor for salaries
in accordance with Chapter 704 of the Acts of 1914, six thou-
sand five hundred dollars; also the further sum of five thousand
five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
to defray the expenses of his department; to the Conservation
Commission to make up any deficiency between the Conserva-
tion Fund, and the cost of conducting said Commission, the sum
of twenty-five thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be
necessary, also the sum of ten thousand dollars or so much
thereof as may be necessary for the necessary repairs to the
Steamer R. M. McLane.

MISCELLANEOUS.

For repairs to public buildings and grounds in the City of
Annapolis, the sum of four thousand dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, said sum to be expended by and
under the direction of the Governor; for fuel and lights for
the public buildings and grounds to be expended under the
direction and control of the Governor, eight thousand dollars,
