jury, the same proceedings shall be had until a verdict of in-
quisition shall be made and returned as aforesaid.

Section 342. Nothing in this Act shall be held to authorize
the Mayor and City Council of Havre de Grace to regulate the
rates of charge by the Havre de Grace Water Company of Har-
ford County for water supplied by it to the inhabitants of
Havre de Grace, nor the rates of charge by the Havre de Grace
Electric Company of Harford County for light supplied by it
to the inhabitants of Havre de Grace, nor to authorize the con-
demnation, of the plant and property of either of said com-
panies.

Section 343. The Mayor and City Council of Havre de
Grace shall forthwith upon the passage and approval of this
Act issue bonds to an amount not to exceed twenty-seven thou-
sand dollars. Said bonds shall be for sums not less than $100,
nor more than $1, 000 each, and shall be signed by the Mayor
and countersigned by the Treasurer of said city, with the cor-
porate seal of said city affixed thereto, and shall bear interest
at the rate of five per cent, per annum, payable semi-annually
on the first days of December and June in each year until the
principal is paid and said bonds are called in, and said bonds
shall be exempt from municipal and county taxation, in Har-
ford County, and shall have printed on them an explicit and
distinct reference to this Act as authorizing the issue thereof,
and shall mature not earlier than the first day of May, in the
year 1930. When issued the said bonds shall be forthwith
delivered to the commission named in this Act to be used by
said commission for the purpose hereinafter set forth, and the
provisions of Sections 339 and 340 shall not apply to the bonds
issued under this section.

Section 344. After the expiration of ten years from the
date of the issue of the bonds authorized in the preceding sec-
tion the Mayor and City Council may from time to time
redeem them or any part of them, and if they desire to redeem
or pay off a part thereof, they shall determine by lot which
bonds are to be so redeemed, and when the same are selected
for redemption the Mayor and City Council shall give notice
by advertising in two newspapers published in said city, if so
many, of the number or numbers of the said bonds so to be
redeemed or called in, and when and where the same are to
be paid, and the interest on said bonds so selected and notified
to be called in and redeemed shall cease from and after the
date fixed for their redemption.
